Hi, I would like to get a copy of the three books (PDF files) about Rafael Sabatini, if I may. Thank you very much

A general comment:
1. Rafael Sabatini was an extraordinary writer, one of the leading, if not the best historical novelist of the 20th century. Unlike many of his contemporaries he never "deserted" the genre of the historical romance / novel, even as it went out of fashion after WWI. It is a shame that he is not as known and as popular today as he deserves. In my opinion he is the best amalgamation of W. Scott and Dumas. At the very least his Captain Blood and Scaramouche will live on for generations to come.
2. Unfortunately, as it happens with popular but not academically valued writers, there is practically no scholarship regarding his life and writing. Fortunately for us (the readers who like to know more about an author beyond the novel itself), Ruth Heredia filled that gap by writing Sabatini's biography and a monograph about his writing, plus uncovering lost texts along the way. The meticulous research is evident in every aspect. And for that I thank her very much. And a special thank you for sharing it with the readers for free.
3. The blog is interesting as well, thank you
4. Fun fact, when I went to Portugal for a vacation, our tour guide read us aloud one of Sabatini's stories so we would feel more connected to the history of the country. Don't remember which one exactly but it was about Portugal, obviously
Best regards, Guy

Dear Ruth, please send me a copy of your Addenda, I did get a copy of your Shards, thank you. I miss your postings to the group, and wish you the best. I have heard the Monsoons were particularly bad this year and I hope you have weathered those storms as you have so many others. Yours, Jason fishtronics (at) msn (dot) com

Dear M
A) Your email address is necessary. After noting it, I will delete that post so that it is not public on this blog.
B) He only had 2 wives! Christine was the second.
C) If Christine interests you, try "Christine" in the Search box here. I can't recall my various posts about her.

As a fan of Sabatini since childhood I was delighted to read your blog and book. What a labour of love! I would be most interested to know more about the stage and film versions in your addendum.
